Since 1992 Jenai has worked as both owner and employee in the development industry on the west coast. Although her curiosity has taken her from tying rebar and managing an architectural office while in college, the innate love for computers drew Jenai to AutoCAD in the early 1990's.   While working in a civil engineering/surveying firm drafting her desire to grow and learn expanded to certifications for what is now Civil 3D. The following years included drafting, designing for civil engineering projects as well as teaching and customizing the CAD programs to coworkers.  A family move to California opened the door to subcontracting in 1999 and until 2006 Jenai enjoyed working with clients in WA, OR, CA & NV doing civil & architectural design, survey creation and land use planning. It is from this taste of self employment that Jenai launched the endeavor to not only reopen but expand the services to include a full team of dedicated AEC individuals working under the DBE/ESB/WBE certifications of FDG.

Most days Jenai can be found glued to the computer screen designing site improvements (drawing shapes is how her children explain it) and reviewing land use & development code to obtain clients desires. While there is the task of managing FDG shes found the networking and getting to know the clients directly has been the clear payoff of being the owner/operator that makes the more tedious requirements of contract writing and invoicing all worth while.

Off clock pastimes include hiking with best behaved child (her dog) in the Columbia Gorge, gardening, fantasizing of actually finishing a Frankenstein 1948 Mercury, and oh, beekeeping!

Community service involvement includes creation and management of all things related to PNWhoneyBeeSurvey, monitoring for Salmon with the Johnson Creek Watershed Council, DePave, planting trees with Friends with Trees, Tree Inventory Project with Portland Parks & Recreation. 

As part of the FDG outsourced contract team, Brenda oversees many of the financial aspects of business while bringing Jenai up to speed on Quickbooks 2020 functionality.

Brenda has been working in the accounting field for 30 years and is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor with https://statusaccounting.com/ . She started her own practice in Washington 16 years ago and relocated to Oregon 10 years ago. Brenda is driven by  the greater need she sees for small businesses to have more than just a bookkeeping service.

Brenda enjoys gardening, sunny days by the river, chocolate, the smell of Fall in the Pacific North West, spending time with her new granddaughter, and connecting with friends.

As part of the FDG remote employee team Linda manages the CAD department and provides great civil design and drafting perspectives to an ever evolving program of the industry.

Linda began in this industry July 1985 and has worked for several Civil Engineering firms, both in the Portland area and Eastern Oregon. Graphic design is a deep joy for Linda so whether she is designing public road improvements in AutoCAD or filling orders for the latest craze in graphic apparel printing, lets just say her home office is well used.

Linda enjoys spending time with her three adult children and her 2 Grandsons, and 4 Granddaughters. Her community service involvement includes volunteering as an assistant Swim Coach, and helping with lunches at a satellite school.
